Built in 1912 this Church has a lot of history and nostalgia and has been home to many many events other than just the Sunday morning Service. The Church has been, and continues to be, home to many different events, including weddings. The historic feel, stained glass windows, warm wood and incredible acoustics of the building, lends well to a unique wedding.
What you get when you book a wedding at The Lantern Community Church:
- Awesome Sound Technician for the Rehearsal and Wedding Ceremony is included in the price. We can accomodate live musicians for your wedding if that’s what you have in mind. An updated sound system and lighting set up allows use and set up of all equipment with ease.
- BYOP (Bring your own Pastor) or Justice of the Peace, if you wish. It is not necessary to use our Pastors, however they would be willing and honored to officiate your wedding.
- Please Note: The Pastor’s Honorarium is not included in the cost of the facility rental.
Our stage was renovated in the summer of 2009. The majestic pipe organ and crucifix are original to the space and still an awe inspiring backdrop for any wedding. We now have a beautiful center staircase , two side staircases, and a dark hardwood floor. Please note: We do not have a centre aisle for the bride to walk down. Both our aisles have red carpetting.
