Built in 1912 this Church has a lot of history and nostalgia and has been home to many, many, events other than just Sunday Service. The Church has been, and continues to be, home to many different events including: Weddings, Concerts, The Fringe Festival, Bleak Midwinter Film Festival, and many other events.

Artists who have performed here have commented many times on how the setting and character of this old church provide a certain ambiance and vibe that makes it a visual and audio treat for performers and audiences alike.

 

Our stage was renovated in the summer of 2009. The majestic pipe organ and crucifix are original to the space and still an awe inspiring backdrop for any presentation. What we changed is the base of the stage. We now have a beautiful center staircase, two side staircases, and a dark hardwood floor. Also, an updated sound system and lighting set up allows use and set up of all equipment with ease.  Suitable for Weddings, CD release parties, theatre groups, the possibilities are endless. Additionally, we are working on a black curtain to neutralize the background if required for rentals such as theatre contracts. Please email our office with any inquiries.

 

Included in your wedding rental at The Lantern Community Church:

 

• Sound Technician for the Rehearsal and Wedding Ceremony is included in the price. We can accommodate live musicians or pre-recorded music.  Our updated sound and lighting system allows use and set up of all equipment with ease.  We do offer live streaming for an additional amount.

• BYOP (Bring your own Pastor) or Justice of the Peace if you wish.  It is not necessary to use our Pastor, however he would be willing and honored to officiate your wedding.  Please Note:  The Pastor’s Honorarium is not included in the cost of the facility rental.
