Next Installment | December 22, 2019 | 6:30pm – 8:00pm
Please join us for our annual Back Porch installment of the Christmas Candlelight service Sunday December 22nd at 6:30pm featuring the Hair-Cutting Guys, The Esira Dancers, Musicians and more.
The Deep End is the latest of nine Back Porth Stories told since 2015. Pete arrives at a meeting to rally support for the community pool but thing don’t go as planned.
While sitting on the lake one summer, the Lantern’s pastors discovered the narratives of Canada’s beloved Stuart McLean and questioned why they couldn’t bring something similar to a church setting. They wondered why they couldn’t set aside ‘the sermon’ and ‘traditional singing’, at least on occasion, and replace them with meaningful home-cooked stories? Why not ask gifted musicians to assist with the story?
So here they are. The Back Porch Stories. We hope you enjoy them and please feel free to give us your feedback.
