Every six months, the Lantern invites four people from the congregation to speak on a specific topic. The Sunday morning is called ‘360’ because participants have exactly 6 minutes to communicate their thesis, along the same lines as a Ted-talk. Our speakers can use any creative means they can think of . . . and, over the years, some have chosen dance, others poetry, others have written their own music. Another criteria has the participants quoting one passage of scripture. On May 22, four women took up the challenge. They were asked to speak about the person who most influenced their faith. Regina Tam spoke first, then Rachel Slomp. Teresa Trimble was third, followed by Andree Alffrig.
