Animators Extraordinaire and friends of The Lantern, Wendy Tilby and Amanda Forbis will be hosting an evening to escape the mid-winter blahs with some entertaining, short animated films, including their very own Oscar Nominated film “Wild Life”.
Congratulations ladies!
Tonight is Grown Up Night… ages 16 and up. There will be a post-show gathering in the basement of the church following the films.
~Admission is by Donation!~
The next Inglewood Bleak Midwinter Film Festival showing will be on March 10th ( Wiebo’s World – A Documentary) http://www.nfb.ca/film/wiebos_war_trailer/
The two describe their short animated film, Wild Life, as a “Canadian western” based on the lives of their own family.
‘It’s also really, really Albertan,” Tilby said. “It’s absolutely situated right here.”
As members of the National Film Board of Canada, Forbis and Tilby said they feel lucky to be ambassadors for the organization.
With more than a month to go until the big show on Feb. 26, Tilby said the anticipation is already building.
“I think ‘butterflies’ is probably an understatement,” she said.”
